World War I ended 100 years ago, but the legacy of that war still lives on in Connecticut’s public monuments. Richard Franklin Donohue has documented over 175 WWI monuments in Connecticut, and is giving a presentation on Monday, November 27 at 7:00pm at First Congregational Church in Cromwell. The presentation will include images of the monument and discussion regarding their design and placement in historical context. The event is sponsored by the Cromwell Historical Society. The address of the church is 355 Main Street.
