 Come help The Connecticut State Library and the Connecticut Digital Archive by bringing photos, letters or other memorabilia from World War I to be scanned. The Remembering World War I: Sharing History and Preserving Memories is a two year state wide project. These scanned historical items will provide information for students and researchers to use. The event will be held from 11:00am to 1:30 pm on Saturday, November 4th at the Bentley Memorial Library located at 206 Bolton Center Rd, Bolton.

How did early Americans deal with death? The Canterbury Historical Society is hosting a talk by history instructor Bev York on the beliefs and customs that 18th and 19th century New England had regarding death. Discussion will include the symbolism of gravestones and concerns Americans had with grave robbers and being buried alive. This free event is on Friday, November 10 at 7:30pm. The location is the Town Hall located at 1 Municipal Drive, Canterbury.
